Understanding Foundation Repair Products
-
Steel Push Piers:
Steel push piers are one of the strongest stabilization methods available. They use the weight of your home and the resulting torque to deliver support. Steel push piers do not use concrete. Piers are attached to your home or structure and then driven down into underlying bedrock during installation. Fine adjustments are made until the piers perfectly support your structure and your is realigned. Once the job is complete, the installation holes are refilled and the landscape is restored, which leaves no visible evidence of piering!
-
Helical Anchors:
Helical anchors are used when there is not an adequate amount of underlying bedrock or available structure to allow the use of push piers. The anchors are first driven into the ground until a rock-solid friction lock is established. The incredibly strong anchor can then be mounted to the foundation using a specially-designed bracket, or even as a stand-alone pier for new construction. Like steel push piers, helical anchors do not require concrete, and are virtually undetectable after the installation is complete!
-
Carbon Fiber Stabilization:
Utilizing cutting-edge carbon fiber/kevlar technology borrowed from aerospace research, Vintage Construction repairs bowed basement walls, broken and cracked concrete and block walls at a fraction of the cost of full replacement and excavation. Carbon fiber strapping is used to reinforce the capacity of structural, load-bearing walls and stop the further movement or bowing in deformed or damaged wall structures. This technology exhibits amazing strength characteristics and is versatile enough to be used in many situations that would otherwise be considered “un-fixable.”
-
Epoxy Injection:
This money-saving method is extremely strong and effective in repairing cracks in concrete walls and flooring without the expense and hassle of total excavation and replacement. Utilizing an epoxy injection, cracked members are permanently rejoined. They exhibit strength characteristics that are often better than the original, “pre-crack” concrete.
-
Concrete Slab Restoration:
Vintage Construction utilizes a full array of techniques to repair concrete slabs and other concrete surfaces to a level and usable state. Garage floors, steps, sidewalks and slabs are treated with advanced concrete restoration techniques as a “final touch” after foundation repair has been completed.
-
Floor Structure Restoration:
Long-standing moist conditions in a basement or crawl space can cause major damage to your home’s floor structure. We utilize highest quality, pre-stressed engineered lumber and beams to repair any type of floor structure that is out of level or has been damaged due to rotting, settling, cracking or shifting. We also frequently utilize our floor structure restoration techniques to reinforce existing structures and increase load-bearing capacity.
